Churyo SATO

Frolic < Frolic >

1964

Bronze
99*50*30cm
This work captures an instant in the charming pose of a child come home to play, teasingly running away with the towel after a bath and before they could be dressed. It is said that the soft expression of affection throughout the statue is Sato Churyo's specialty. However, the artist says that it is harder to portray a child's simple cuteness than it is to portray an adult.
