Since the end of the 1960's, Dan Graham has been presenting his works that engage him in different art movements such as Pop, Minimal, and Conceptual Art, using various forms of expression: critique, photography, architecture, video art, and performances. His latest works are architectural sculpture which remind us of such buildings as a simple log cabin, a summerhouse, a tearoom in a garden, and a city bus stations's waiting room. Many of his works are basic works structures equipped with two-way-mirrors (half-mirrors), or on their wall. Viewers can view works both from the inside and the outside; by peering into the changing scenes and other reflected images they recognize themselves caught in the world of actual images and false images. Greater emphasis is placed on his sculptures as devices that reflect their surroundings rather than forms of art per se. With the audience's participation, his works become complete. The artist has said that this work is meant to be looked at and enjoyed together by many people, not alone.
