< Floating Form - Red > 2000 Granite, stainless steel, paint 615*298*93cm |
My idea was to show in a simple, yet powerful form a new relationship by creating, between man and the nature, a new magnetic flux of time and space. I wanted to evoke the attraction and force of the terrestrial gravity, weight and balance, the uncertainty of the existence of things, a sense of floating in the air, and the relationship between man and the nature in sharp contrast using a combination of entirely unrelated matters: fieldstone retaining part of the earth's memory, a red circular cone, and roughly polished stainless steel.
I want people to feel the energy that focuses on the stainless plate, or at a point on a big stone floating in the air or emanates therefrom, and the magnetic flux of the energy that generates itself at the contact point between the spire of the cone and the big stone.
I also want them to feel the object, which changes into various shapes as well as expressions, as the viewer's visual position sifts and the sunbeams change, under the green shade of trees breathing in nature.
