The artist Asami Kiyokawa fuses embroidery and photography to limn a visionary borderland between reality and myth, between the visible and invisible. In this exhibition, Kiyokawa weaves the themes she has explored in her work to date—the inner self, the relationship between humans and nature, and the myths and memories we share—with her customary delicacy and compelling visuals. Visitors can enjoy pieces from a wide range of series, including major and most recent pieces from Tokyo Monster, I:I, Ametsuchi no Uta, Serendipity, and Mythology. They invite the viewer to leave the labyrinth of the present and enter the age of myths, and experience whole new discoveries and serendipities. This is an unmissable exhibition not only for art lovers, but anyone interested in photography, fashion, nature, and mythology.
